There’s a fire underneath Connor Storrie (pictured above in Heated Rivalry), as THR reports that the actor is in talks to join Marvel’s Ghost Rider alongside Ryan Gosling (Project Hail Mary).
Even better? Storie will play the villain of the film (though it’s unknown which Ghost Rider nemesis he’ll step into the shoes of).
Gosling, meanwhile, plays the Johnny Blaze incarnation of Ghost Rider. In the comics, he’s a stunt motorcycle driver who makes a deal with the devil, ultimately transforming into the fiery, vengeance-seeking spirit.
Shawn Levy(Deadpool & Wolverine) will direct the supernatural blockbuster.

On the casting side, a recent report fromTheInSneider‘s Jeff Sneider also suggestedRosamund Pike(Gone Girl,The Wheel of Time) is being eyed to join the film as the female lead and romantic interest opposite Gosling.
I don’t know about you all, but I can’t wait to watch Gosling in the role. Granted, I’ve been hurt before. Nicolas Cage played the character in the 2007 Ghost Rider and its sequel, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. Both are total duds. But they should’ve been great with Cage, who I thought was perfect at the time. Still, any new swing at the property is going to perk up my ears, especially with talent like Gosling and now Storrie involved.
Production is looking to begin in New York next year.
Marvel has already set a date for the film, with Ghost Rider roaring into theaters on July 28th, 2028!
