Simon Cowell Has Been In The Entertainment Business A Long Time
Without question, Simon Cowell is one of the most recognized faces in all of show business. He gained a wide reach and even more fame for his role as a judge on American Idol. Since then, he has been involved in a handful of other talent competition shows, including the American version of The X Factor and America’s Got Talent.
These days, Simon Cowell is also getting up there in age. He is currently 65, and, with each passing season of America’s Got Talent, many viewers often wonder if his days as a judge on these reality competition shows may be numbered.
AGT Producers Already Grooming Simon’s Replacement?
There’s no mistaking the fact that with someone like Simon out of the mix, he would be leaving some big shoes to fill. America’s Got Talent is currently in Season 20, and some fans think the time is drawing near for Simon Cowell to make his exit and enjoy retirement.
Some America’s Got Talent fans have even gone as far as to suggest that the popular reality singing competition may already be planning for Simon to leave, and that they may even already be grooming his replacement. According to some AGT fans, they believe that this replacement could be Mel B.

Considering some of the comments that Mel B has made on this current season of America’s Got Talent, some fans of the show think that she is being groomed to take Simon’s place.
- One recent commenter said, “Is it just me or is Mel B screamingggggg jealousy this season??? I just watched the act where the young lady sang the song that her grandmother wrote and Mel B said no????? Ive noticed shes saying no to soooo many legitimately talented acts (mainly women may I add) I am missing Heidi Klum which is a sentence I never thought I’d say. She is aggravating me heavily. If it is just me, I apologize for the rant but I just had to say something somewhere haha!”
- In response to this, another commenter said, “Mel B is the new Simon Cowell.. maybe they’re grooming her to take his place aftre this season.. maybe Simon is retiring..”
