Big Brother fans, get ready, it’s sure to be another incredible season! Every season is full of twists and turns; however, this season, it sounds like they are taking ‘expect the unexpected’ to a whole new level. Keep reading to find out what we know about Season 28 so far.
Big Brother Gets Crazier Than Ever
Summer has started, which means it’s time for Big Brother fans to come out of hibernation and get ready to tune in for nightly reality TV! Season 28 is set to air on July 9. The show is known for its iconic twists, and this season seems pretty promising despite airing during the World Cup. From the legendary twin twist to secret family members being in the house, fans are always waiting to see what the show will do next. This season seems to be the most exciting yet.
According to Reality Tea, the twist this year is all about past players. It’s called the ‘Time Trip’ twist. This new twist is speculated to bring old and iconic players back into the house. This little spoiler was shared on Paramount+ China.
It says that houseguests will “compete across different eras, face returning legends, and navigate game-changing twists that rewrite the rules.”
This summer will also mark the 1,000th episode of the show, so it seems only fitting that they would have an iconic twist and bring back some of the greatest players. Who knows what other surprises could be awaiting fans this summer?
While CBS hasn’t officially confirmed the twist, all signs are pointing toward go. Especially after the first teaser came out.
What We Know So Far
Just last week, the first video teaser for the new season came out. While the teaser seems like a standard video, there are actually a few nods to the supposed twist. The first being Julie Chen Moonves’ opening line.
“What’s one word to describe Big Brother?” Julie asks before following with “historic.”
Not only did they bring in the word history here, but they also hinted at the twist with another line as well.
“It’s going to be the time of your life,” the narrator says at the end of the video.

The theme is prevalent throughout the video clips, too. During the whole video, scenes of former houseguests played. This wouldn’t draw much attention, however, once again, it seems to line up perfectly with the new twist.
With both time and history being referenced in this short clip, it seems that the ‘Time Trip’ Twist really is a go.
