The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City has given fans so many iconic moments. And Vida tequila owner Lisa Barlow is part of so many of them. This fast-food-loving mom of two is never afraid to be herself. She loves herself for who she is and doesn’t care if you don’t get her vibe. Thankfully, her hubby John Barlow does, and he also embraces her Taco Bell-fueled lifestyle.
In early seasons, Lisa was tight with Meredith Marks, until she had a hot mic meltdown directed at Meredith. Her relationships with Heather Gay and her cousin, Whitney Rose, have been a series of peaks and valleys. Well, mostly valleys if we’re being honest.
Sometimes, Lisa is hysterically funny without realizing it. And her ability to steer almost any topic back around to herself is next level. It truly is Lisa’s world, and we are just privileged to live in it. So, grab a Diet Coke, and let’s take a look at Lisa Barlow’s most memorable RHOSLC quotes.
“What Whitney does with the gift I gave her is up to her. If I give you a Chanel necklace and you choke on it, that’s your problem, not mine.”
During Season 1, Lisa claimed that Whitney asked her for some Vida Tequila for her vow renewal celebration. So, Lisa gifted Whitney the tequila and bartenders for her event.
Later, when Lisa asked how it went, Whitney was honest. She thanked Lisa but added that the bartenders were serving themselves, too. They got smashed, and Whitney stated, the “bar was a little wrecked at the end.”
But then Whitney made a big mistake. She told Lisa that the bartenders opened some of their “top-shelf tequila.” Lisa replied, “Well, our tequila is top-shelf.” Finally, Whitney added that they ran out of tequila early in the evening, after Lisa said that she sent enough for 500 people.
In her confessional, Lisa was steamed about Whitney not being more grateful. “What Whitney does with the gift I gave her is up to her,” Lisa stated. “If I give you a Chanel necklace and you choke on it, that’s your problem, not mine.” Bloop!
“Whitney and Heather – bad weather. Tornado. Spin the truth. Destroy!”
During the Season 1 reunion, Lisa was upset that Whitney and Heather told Jen Shah that she was afraid of her. In reality, Lisa previously told Heather that Jen didn’t intimidate her at all. However, Heather stated at the reunion that it was obvious that Jen frightened Lisa.
It seemed that Lisa was tired of the cousins talking about her behind her back. Plus, she was sick of them stirring the pot to instigate drama for the show. A housewife stirring up drama? Please!
Well, Lisa came up with a unique nickname for Whitney and Heather that even caught reunion host Andy Cohen by surprise. “Whitney and Heather – bad weather. Tornado! Spin the truth! Destroy!” Lisa exclaimed. Well, that may have been the most memorable moment of the reunion.
“Hi, Baby Gorgeous!”
Lisa gave her son Henry a sweet greeting when he climbed into their car after school. “Hi, Baby Gorgeous!” Lisa said. “Okay, get buckled in, okay, hon? I missed you!” Then she asked 9-year-old Henry if he wanted to go to Wendy’s. That’s very on-brand for Lisa.
As a mom, Lisa is very proud of her two sons. She helped them develop a line of men’s grooming products, Fresh Wolf, with some of the proceeds from each sale going to help foster children. So, it was a way to help their sons embrace their parents’ entrepreneurial genes.
Of course, the line was heavily featured on RHOSLC. Good for Lisa, John, and their sons Jack and Henry for giving back to their community. We love that!
“I’m shaking. I’m physically shaking.”
One of the most memorable moments in Real Housewives history happened during Season 2 of RHOSLC. The ladies were sitting in a Sprinter van outside of Heather’s company, Beauty Lab + Laser, waiting to depart for a cast trip. Jen received a phone call and told the group that her husband, Sharrieff Shah, was sick in the hospital. She left shortly before Homeland Security arrived looking for her.
Finally, the group headed to Vail. Suddenly, Lisa, wearing dark sunglasses, proceeded to call six of her attorneys. She asked if she should be stressed, or what could be happening.
“I’m shaking,” Lisa said, her hand partially covering her mouth as she spoke with a lawyer. “I’m physically shaking.” Then Whitney saw the alert that Jen was arrested and charged with fraud.
“That f*cking piece of sh*t garbage whore. I f*cking hate her! She’s a whore. She’s f*cked half of New York!”
During a cast dinner, when Lisa felt that Meredith was more supportive of Mary Cosby than her, Lisa lost it. After being friends for 10 years, she expected Meredith to have her back at least once. But Meredith instead decided to defend Mary.
Well, Lisa went into the bathroom, still wearing her mic. And gifted us with one of the most iconic hot mic moments in Bravo history. She destroyed Meredith in a lengthy rant. The part that lives on in my head is, “That f*cking piece of sh*t garbage whore! I f*cking hate her! She’s a whore. She’s f*cked half of New York!”
Well, Lisa apologized at the reunion, and the two tried to move forward. But while Meredith may forgive, she will never forget Lisa’s meltdown.
“No, I don’t. I’m on play, all the time.”
During the trip home from Palm Springs, the ladies were once again in a Sprinter van. Are Sprinter vans drama magnets? Anyway, Meredith told Mary that she was disappointed that Mary didn’t participate more with the ladies. After Lisa interrupted Mary, she informed Lisa not to get in the middle of a conversation between her and Meredith.
Suddenly, Lisa interrupted again. “Do you have a mute button?” Mary asked in frustration.
Once again sporting her sunglasses, Lisa smiled and replied, “No, I don’t. I’m on play, all the time.” This one made me laugh. Even Whitney cracked a smile at Lisa shutting Mary down.
Let’s face it. Baby Gorgeous will always speak her mind at all times. No one can stop her. But her unfiltered responses are often hilarious, like this one. However, if you are facing an activated Lisa, it isn’t a pleasant place to be.
“You want me to be your villain? I’ll be your villain.”
During the Season 5 premiere, Lisa hosted a “Besos” themed Galentine’s party. After Lisa found out that Whitney had referred to Lisa as the “villain” of the show on a podcast, she was furious at Whitney.
After a while, Whitney said that she didn’t understand why Lisa was so upset about her remarks. She also said that Lisa was too focused on herself. “Game on, right now. You want me to be your villain? I’ll be your villain,” Lisa told Whitney.
Meanwhile, Heather and Meredith accused Whitney of lying, and Baby Gorgeous threw a glass as the group screamed at each other. Finally, Whitney stormed out after throwing up a special one-finger salute to Lisa. What a relaxing evening!
Well, I know one thing for sure. Lisa Barlow is one of the most quotable Bravo stars ever.
