Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema will release the next installment in the Evil Dead franchise domestically on July 24, 2026. Dune: Part Two actress Souheila Yacoub will star.
New Line Cinema and Sony Pictures are co-financing the sequel after the success of Evil Dead Rise.

Sébastien Vaniček, who co-wrote the screenplay with Florent Bernard, has been tapped to direct, as we were first to report.
Pic will be produced by longtime franchise producer Rob Tapert and series creator and horror icon Sam Raimi. Romel Adam, Jose Canas, and Lee Cronin will executive produce alongside cult legend “Ash” Bruce Campbell.
New Line will distribute the film domestically through Warner Bros. Pictures on July 24, 2026. Sony will distribute internationally with StudioCanal distributing in the UK and Metropolitan distributing in France.
Evil Dead Rise, which was originally destined to go to HBO Max, was pivoted to a theatrical release in 2023, and minted $147 million worldwide, repping a renaissance for the franchise. The pic reunited New Line Cinema with Raimi, Robert Tapert and Bruce Campbell nearly 40 years after the studio’s release of the seminal horror classic The Evil Dead.
Yacoub also starred in Planet B, earning her a César Award nomination, and Noémie Merlant’s The Balconettes, which premiered at Venice and Cannes respectively. She starred in the Hulu series No Man’s Land and had breakout roles in Gaspar Noé’s Climax and Anaïs Volpé’s The Braves. Yacoub is repped by Sugar23, as well as Agence Adequat in France.
