MomTokers, mount up, as Hulu has just pulled through, granting us another season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. These stars officially survived their soft-swinging scandal from 2022, brought on by Taylor Frankie Paul’s confession on her TikTok account. Filming on Season 2 is about to start, right in time for Utah’s freakishly cold winters. Bring on the snowy, seasonal, holiday-themed TikTok dances, ladies, and further secure that bag. But when you return, here is what we hope you unpack in Season 2.
And by unpack, we mean you can answer our questions in one of two ways. You can either take to your individual TikTok accounts to dance in random formations as words appear, helping to explain your storylines. Or, if you are not in a dancing mood, go right ahead and bring your responses to this series live, preferably when you are all sitting in the same room.
Jenna Jarvis needs to enter the chat in Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 2
Who the heck is Jenna Jarvis? She doesn’t even go here! Yet, Jenna has ties with certain members of this cast. Naturally, her connection(s) would create chaos on Season 2 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
As for her connections, buckle up, besties. This titillating tail involves Taylor and her on-again, off-again (more on that in a bit) baby daddy, Dakota Mortensen.
While married to her now ex, Tate Paul, Taylor became a mother of two. But while she and Tate were enjoying all of the benefits of their soft-swinging lifestyles, Taylor caught feelings for Dakota. Her divorce from Tate ensued. However, no matter how strongly Taylor feels for Dakota, their relationship has endured a few toxic bumps, and one of these roadblocks involves Jenna.
Maybe.
In Season 1, we learned that Dakota and Jenna, the latter of whom never filmed, were once a bit of a thing. There was some overlap here, as, at the beginning of his romance with Taylor, Dakota was still dating Jenna. Yet, on the show, Dakota denied sleeping with Jenna. He also said that he never stepped out on Taylor after they became official.
Cue Jenna, taking to her socials to spill her truths. Somewhat. In her post, we finally see Jenna, and as the background vocals quip, “guilty,” Jenna pens, “My name is Jenna. I dated Dakota. I will tell you everything.”
But then she went silent on this topic. Jenna told us nothing. Therefore, we need Jenna to enter the chat during Season 2 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
Season 2 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives needs to explain where Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen went wrong, again
When Season 1 wrapped, this cast sat back and watched as the fruits of their follies began to air. However, Dakota was not a fan of his edit. To explain, Taylor was pregnant with his child, her third and his first. But his scenes with Taylor were somewhat rough, and this caused the duo to enter into a tailspin of sorts post-filming.
At this point, Taylor and Dakota are on a break. Again. Overall, Dakota thought that he looked like an “ass” to Taylor during a season of life when she needed him the most. Meanwhile, Taylor felt like her aired defenses made her look like an “awful person,” which she is not, she stated, when discussing her current heartbreak over their demise.
Underneath this storyline lies a family now that their little boy has entered the world. However, as Dakota is not with Taylor at the moment, and he hated the results of this series’ first season, we have to wonder if Dakota will even show up to filming for Season 2. And if he does show up, will he temper his reactions to try and earn himself a redemption arc? Will Season 2 show Dakota trying to win Taylor back?
And also, there has to be something else that caused their split. Right? Either way, we hope to see and learn these answers in Season 2 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
Jen Affleck, what’s the deal with you and Zac Affleck post-filming on Season 1?
Many people cringed while watching Jen Affleck’s marriage to Zac Affleck. (To be fair, many of these marriages contained several red flags, but I digress).
During Season 1, the cast traveled to Las Vegas. On this trip, Jessi Ngatikaura took the ladies to a Chippendales show. As the men also traveled to Vegas (ugh), Jen gave her Targaryen-looking man a heads-up about her plans. He hated it.
His hate saw Jen leaving the theater well before the show ever began. Even still, Zac rage-texted Jen for many beats. He then graciously allowed her to speak with him at 2 a.m. Gross, aware.
Even grosser were his words within his text, which Demi Engemann shared with her costars the following day. Zac texted Jen that their marriage was over, as she was disgusting. Now listen here, the second coming of Kody Brown. Your wife respected your feelings and left the strippers in her rearview mirror, so pipe down already.
Following filming on Season 1, Jen and Zac moved to NYC. This relocation reeked of isolation vibes, but there was also (thankfully) a valid reason, which Jen stated on the show. Zac is attending medical school in the Big Apple, so basically, suck it, haters.
Remaining coy, Jen’s next posts look very Utah-based. So, in The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, we would love to hear an update on this marriage post-filming on Season 1. We need to know if they are still going strong, but also (and mainly), has Zac had any light-bulb moments after watching his scenes, and if so, has he made any changes in how he speaks, thinks, behaves, etc.?
How will Whitney Leavitt and her husband, Connor Leavitt, present in Season 2 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives?
When it comes to this series, there are two camps of fans. Depending on where you fall, you either love or loathe Whitney Leavitt. Her husband, Conner Leavitt, did not come off as a solid character either. This cast stood divided on their feelings for Whitney, and by the time filming wrapped, she was standing on an island of one.
These ladies love TikTok. They often post together, but Whitney is now absent from their posts. She left the proverbial building, yet Whitney continues to call out the narratives she disagrees with online. So, will she return to filming for Season 2, and if she does, will she try and showcase a more accountable side, hoping that the audience and her peers will finally embrace her in their second go-round?
Likewise, what is the real deal with Conner? In Season 1, we learned about his love of dot coms and Tinder. AKA porn and cheating. The series mentioned that he had been using the app known as Tinder, which he allegedly used to send and receive intimate photos from fellow strangers.
However, Tinder does not have a photo-sharing option within its messaging section. So, was Conner using multiple apps? More specifically, was he using Grindr? If so, we will have additional questions for him and Whitney to answer during Season 2 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
TELL US – WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO SEE DURING THE SECRET LIVES OF MORMON WIVES SEASON 2? DO YOU HAVE ANY PREDICTIONS ON HOW THIS SECOND SEASON MIGHT GO?
