Sydney Sweeney recently addressed the cosmetic surgery rumors going around online. She had a strong message for those dissecting her looks in a new interview, which also featured her The Housemaid costar Amanda Seyfried.
What did Sydney Sweeney say about cosmetic surgery rumors?
For a while, there have been online discussions surrounding Sydney Sweeney’s appearance. Many claimed that she got her appearance altered, perhaps with plastic surgery. In the latest interview with Allure, the Euphoria actress had the opportunity to clarify this.
Sweeney was asked to select a “beauty rumor” she would like to debunk. This gave her the chance to address the rumors of her alleged plastic surgery. “Let’s debunk them all. I mean, I have never gotten work done,” Sweeney shared. “I am so scared of needles, you have no idea,” she added.
The Anyone But You star went on to address those who use her earlier pictures for side-by-side comparisons. “You cannot compare a photo of me from when I was 12 to a photo of me at 26 with professional makeup and lighting! Of course I’m going to look different,” she said, and added, “Everybody on social media’s insane.”
Seyfried, who is significantly older than Sweeney, remarked that some cosmetic procedures were useful when one was older. But she admitted that Sweeney did not need it. “I’ll call you,” Sweeney told Seyfried about the possibility of getting surgery in the future. “You gotta call me, and I’ll give you a little bit of Ativan, and you’ll be so excited,” Seyfried responded.
In the same interview, Sweeney revealed that a procedure would ensure that her face was “even.” A confused Seyfried asked what that meant. Sweeney told her that a childhood accident led her to get a non-cosmetic surgery on her face. This causes one of her eyes to open wider than the other. Seyfriend assured that it was not evident.
