Welcome back, Below Deck Mediterranean fans! Last week, Max rescued his dad, and Massi showed up as his replacement, cigarettes and all. Nathan praised Massi on repeat, clearly trying to make Joe jealous. And Gen flirted with Cooper hard enough to make Kat cry, since Cooper did nothing to stop it. But after Luke sent flowers to Joy, Gen also got emotional, and she even threatened to quit ahead of Below Deck Mediterranean Season 11 Episode 15.
What happened in Below Deck Mediterranean Season 11 Episode 15?
Captain Sandy questions Nathan’s motives on deck, as does Massi. Likewise, Gen questions her life’s choices in the laundry room. She also acts out against Joy, who promises vengeance is hers. Making things even messier, a guest emergency sends the crew into full-blown panic mode, ending this week on an ominous “TO BE CONTINUED” note.
Captain Sandy praises Joe
Nathan breaks down the whole Luke-Gen-Joy thing to Massi, while Aesha consoles Gen. She puts Gen on laundry service for the upcoming charter to “take a breather.” When the guests leave, Gen can decide her future.
Joe FaceTimes his mom. He talks to her about Nathan. He also tells the camera his career plans: to advance, get a raise, and help his mum out financially. But first, he has to get through this season with Nathan.
Kat hates watching Gen cry, so she makes peace with her. In the galley, Joy goes over the preference sheets. Michelle loves carbs, not vegetables, and a blow-up doll is also arriving in place of Kelli, who had to cancel her trip. Joy cutely makes fake food for faux Kelli.
Joe uses sign language while casting off, and Captain Sandy praises him. “For f*ck’s sake,” Nathan whines. He gets even fussier when Captain Sandy lets Joe steer the yacht. Then, doing the very thing he’s consistently slammed Joe for, Nathan muddies the water with Massi, telling him that Joe “doesn’t deserve” any special privileges this season.
Nathan keeps bashing Joe in his confessional. He also squashes Joe in person. He reminds Joe that he is on anchor watch for far longer than usual that night. Three hours is their standard, but Nathan gave him six, because “he’s testing me,” Joe says.
And in the laundry room, Gen tests out her inner monologues, trying to wrap her head around the whole Luke thing. She finally texts him, letting him know that his flowers were “disrespectful.” Several beats later, Joy calls Luke, and he tells her about Gen’s text. Naturally, Gen overhears their call.
Gen vents to Cooper. Joy hears. She sighs, “She’s f*cking annoying me.”
Captain Sandy calls Nathan out
Nathan asks Cooper to tow the guests on a raft. Captain Sandy asks Nathan to use Joe instead. Nathan briefs Joe to “hop in” with Cooper. But Captain Sandy quickly corrects him, saying Joe needs to do more than get in; he needs to tow.
“Thank god I walked back here,” Captain Sandy says. Joe drives the guests, and all is well.
But not for Gen. She is still texting Luke. Judging by her reactions, Luke seems to be responding. But we don’t see what, if anything, he says.
Later, Captain Sandy finds Nathan, Massi, and Cooper on the swim platform. She asks, “Who’s on anchor watch?” Nathan says Joe is, “from midnight to six.” Her jaw drops.
“Six hours? NO. [Joe] will fall asleep. It’s not gonna happen. Come talk to me on the bridge,” she demands.
Immediately, Nathan throws his team under the yacht. They were “complaining about the three hours,” he insists. Thankfully, Captain Sandy shuts him down. On the bridge, she tells him to get the schedule Joe made, because “It was a good one.”
She also calls Nathan out on his earlier towing decision, which he likely made out of spite. Nathan denies all wrongdoing, again. In her talking head, Captain Sandy recalls Joe sulking last week, and now Nathan is making rash decisions this week. “This is high school behavior from my deck team,” she says, “and I’m not gonna stand for it.”
Gen enters her “villain era”
The laundry room is near the galley, so when Captain Sandy talks to Joy about Luke, Gen overhears. Unfortunately for everyone, including her fourth-grade teacher who once called her out for “laughing too much,” Gen loves grudges. She decides to be “in her villain era” now.
Nathan tells Joe that he will only be on anchor watch for four hours. Joe only nods. “F*ck him,” Nathan says.
And f*ck Gen, too, Joy likely thinks, because Gen purposely put her laundry in with the dirty rags. Joy promises her response will send Gen “to psychiatry.” Joy tells Aesha, but when Aesha calls Gen out, Gen plays dumb.
Captain Sandy asks Joe to fetch his watch schedule so she can share it with Nathan. Joe is loving this. Nathan is not.
Joe and Massi take the guests swimming. Several want to swim back to the yacht. Captain Sandy gives her blessing, but tells Massi his tender needs to “stick around” them to block boat traffic. Massi fails to follow her orders, though, because another guest is still in the water, chilling.
Once Joe realizes, he quickly heads to the swimmers with the sea bob. Nathan jumps on a jet ski to meet him. Afterward, Nathan fully blames Joe, which confuses Massi. Again, Joe only nods.
But he’s mad. So mad that when he takes the guests back out on a raft, Joe seemingly miscalculates and runs over a wake. This leaves a guest seriously injured. It also leaves Episode 15 ending on a tense “TO BE CONTINUED” note.
