Speculation about Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s wedding began as soon as they got engaged in 2025. Rumors earlier this year claimed that the wedding would happen over the July Fourth holiday weekend.
Another source claimed that the wedding would be held at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The MSG rumors heated up earlier this week when delivery trucks were spotted outside of the venue. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce reportedly held their rehearsal dinner on Thursday, July 2, with 100 of their close friends and family.
The main event happened on Friday, July 3, with 1,000 guests, including many celebrities. Blake Lively was noticeably absent despite earlier rumors that she was invited. Comedian Adam Sandler reportedly officiated the nuptials. MSG seemed to confirm that the couple was married by displaying “JUST&T MARRIED!” on the digital screens outside the venue.
Dolly Parton didn’t attend the wedding. The beloved icon has been dealing with a lot of health issues since her husband, Carl Dean, passed away in March 2025. She’s canceled many of her scheduled appearances, including her 80th birthday celebration at the Grand Ole Opry in January. She recently made a surprise appearance at the opening of Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stop in Tennessee.

But she was at Travis and Taylor’s wedding in spirit. The couple kicked off their wedding weekend with a major act of kindness. Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift donated $26 million to charities across the country, including Dolly Parton’s. The “I Will Always Love You” singer’s Imagination Library has faced budget cuts in some states. But now, thanks to Taylor and Travis, millions of kids will continue to benefit from the free books.
Imagination Library received $2 million from the couple. Dolly Parton took to social media with a heartfelt message to the newlyweds. “Taylor and Travis, it’s Dolly, and I was just told that you two are making a donation of $2 million to my Imagination Library,” she said. “Thank you, thank you, thank you! I’m blown away and overjoyed with that gratitude. Now, it’s evident that you two have made giving back a key part of your lives.”
Dolly Parton joked, “So, hey, when you have your firstborn, can I have it? Because that is gonna be one special baby.” She went on to discuss the purpose of the Dollywood Foundation. “You know, the mission of the Dollywood Foundation is to dream more, care more, learn more, and be more. And thank you, again, for your very generous gift. And we’ll continue that mission even in bigger ways now with your money.”
