Is Carly Leaving General Hospital? Laura Wright’s Contract Reveals the Truth

Carly leaving General Hospital rumors have fans worried. Laura Wright, however, has now addressed those concerns. Wright has played Carly Spencer since November 2005.

Is Laura Wright’s Carly leaving General Hospital?

Laura Wright is not leaving General Hospital anytime soon. The actress recently confirmed she signed a new contract. Wright revealed the news on X, formerly known as Twitter, while responding to a concerned fan.

A fan said they would stop watching the show. That would happen if Wright ever left General Hospital. Wright quickly responded and cleared up those worries. She wrote, “I’m not going anywhere just signed a new contract !!!”

Wright has played Carly Spencer since November 2005. Her role remains important to Port Charles. Before joining General Hospital, Wright worked across different daytime shows. She built a successful career in daytime television.

Wright eventually joined General Hospital in 2005. She soon took over Carly’s role. Since then, Wright became closely connected with Carly’s character. Her performance also earned several major daytime nominations.

Wright’s contract renewal comes after Nancy Lee Grahn also renewed hers. Grahn, who plays Alexis Davis, signed a three-year deal. Wright hasn’t shared how long her new contract lasts. Several other General Hospital cast members have also renewed.

Meanwhile, on the soap, Wright’s Carly is also enjoying a major storyline. Her character is currently in a romantic relationship with Valentin Cassadine, played by James Patrick Stuart. Interestingly, Wright and Stuart share a long history.

Both actors previously worked on All My Children. They have reportedly remained friends since their earlier careers. Fans are especially enjoying Carly and Valentin together. Many viewers are currently enjoying Carly and Valentin together. Their developing relationship has received plenty of positive attention. The pairing has also become a popular storyline among viewers.

For now, Carly Spencer is staying in Port Charles. Laura Wright’s new deal confirms she isn’t leaving. Fans can expect more Carly storylines ahead.
