According to the Daily Mail, Watts has since entered a relationship with 39-year-old realtor Lizzie Henderson. Henderson reportedly moved from Ohio to Wisconsin with her mother. The move allegedly brought her closer to Watts’ prison.
Relatives claimed the couple had applied to marry within the prison system. Henderson has also reportedly started using the name Lizzie Watts. Sealed court records allegedly show she previously filed a legal name-change application.
Henderson confirmed that she was in a relationship with Watts. She also acknowledged that others might consider their relationship unusual. However, she declined to provide extensive details about how their romance began.
The relationship reportedly developed through frequent prison visits. Prison records obtained by the Daily Mail showed Henderson visited Watts repeatedly. She reportedly visited him 20 times during 2025.
One visitor claimed she witnessed the pair kissing during a prison visit. Wisconsin prison rules reportedly restrict physical contact during visits. Conjugal visits are also not permitted at the facility.
Watts previously attracted several admirers and pen-pal girlfriends after his conviction. His latest relationship has reportedly progressed further than those earlier connections. Relatives now claim marriage discussions have taken place.
George Wilson Jr., Henderson’s former stepfather, reportedly said a marriage request was submitted. Wisconsin inmates can request marriage, but prison officials must approve the process. The warden must also determine whether the couple meets specific requirements.
Watts was sentenced after pleading guilty to killing Shanann and their daughters. He received multiple life sentences without parole. His crimes shocked the country and drew extensive media attention.
