Despite Donald Trump repeatedly insisting he is in fine fettle, Americans don’t seem to believe the White House has been completely honest about the President’s health. In a recent poll, over half of the surveyed citizens questioned Trump’s mental as well as physical condition, stating that they do not trust the White House’s assessment of the Commander-in-Chief.
New poll shows Americans’ trust in Donald Trump’s health report
According to a recent poll, the majority of Americans tend to think that their 80-year-old President is far from being in perfect medical condition.
Tim Malloy, Quinnipiac University’s polling analyst, summarized the part about Donald Trump’s health by saying, “Is the President physically and mentally well? On both questions, half of voters have their concerns, and a majority think the White House is keeping them in the dark.”
Notably, 59% of the participants raised doubts about the White House’s statements regarding the POTUS’ health, with only 34% stating that the establishment has been transparent about his mental and physical state.
Meanwhile, half of the voters remarked that, considering what they’ve seen, Donald Trump doesn’t seem to have the perfect physical health he so often claims. Nevertheless, 46% admitted that they do not suspect Trump of having any bodily ailments.
Furthermore, 51% survey participants questioned the Republican leader’s mental health, with 46% agreeing that Trump is mentally healthy at present.
Notably, Americans started to raise concerns about Donald Trump’s health after the emergence of alleged reports about the President seemingly sleeping through official events. The most recent instance occurred during his 80th birthday, which saw him organize the UFC Freedom 250 event. In several photos from the event, Trump seemed to have dozed off while sitting in the audience.
Similarly, people have also argued that the businessman-turned-politician has been applying makeup to his hands to hide bruises. While photos from his recent meeting with the NATO Secretary seemingly highlighted a purple scar on his left hand, his appearance at the G7 Summit allegedly showcased a crescent moon-shaped bruise.
Nevertheless, Donald Trump and the White House have routinely denied any speculations regarding his health.
