Fans can now stream one Power Rangers live-action series for free. As of this writing, Power Rangers x Ninja Kidz is now available to stream for free on YouTube. This news comes after Disney+ canceled the iconic superhero show’s reboot.
Power Rangers x Ninja Kidz is an officially licensed project produced in partnership with Playmates Toys and Hasbro. It features the original-era heroes and iconic villains.
The ensemble includes Ashton Myler as Jason Lee Scott (Red Ranger), Payton Myler as Kimberly Hart (Pink Ranger), Asia George as Trini Kwan (Yellow Ranger), Alo Ramirez as Billy Cranston (Blue Ranger), Andreik Tapia as Zack Taylor (Black Ranger), Ethan Fineshriber as Tommy Oliver (including the Green/White Ranger arcs), as well as Shane Myler as Zordon.
Adding to this are the villains and supporting characters, which include Karla Hernandez as Empress Rita Repulsa, Bryton Myler as Farkas “Bulk” Bulkmeier, Daniel Reyes as Eugene “Skull” Skullovitch, Robert Bennett as Doom, and Aly Myler as Mo.
Why a YouTube toy tie-in has become Power Rangers’ only live-action show?
The Power Rangers x Ninja Kidz project was officially produced for new Power Rangers toys, Playmates, to support the Re-Ignition line of action figures and merchandise. This essentially makes this licensed YouTube series the closest thing that fans currently have to a new show. Meanwhile, the live-action reboot was canceled by Disney+ in August 2024 due to reported budget concerns.
The series is a serialized adventure set within a reimagined Mighty Morphin Power Rangers mythology with the Ninja Kidz cast. But instead of recreating familiar battles in the old style, it builds an alternate continuity: Here, Lord Zedd has conquered Earth, and the scattered Rangers must fight back alongside some familiar faces from later eras.
You can stream Mighty Morphin Power Rangers x Ninja Kidz on YouTube.
