Real Housewives of Orange County Season 19 Episode 3 Recap

Welcome to the recap for The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 19 Episode 3. The last episode was a powder keg as Shannon learned that Katie had betrayed her. This week, Heather is dealing with quite a party planning issue. And Katie tries her best to apologize to Shannon, but it does not go as planned. So here’s exactly what happened in The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 19 Episode 3: “Knee Deep In Lies.”

The CIA has nothing on Katie

Gina really means what she says as she and Katie meet up for a spa day to cleanse their scalp of dry shampoo. For a second, I thought Katie was being genuine until she noted, “I’m willing to do anything to get these ladies back on my side. Even paying for a really expensive scalp treatment. Which she needs.” Girl. Not cool. One thing is for sure: Katie is on her own OC apology tour.

Meanwhile, Tamra and Emily meet up for a quick catch-up. Almost immediately, the conversation pivots to the return of Gretchen (who I’m already loving). “I wanted to say, ‘You look like an episode of Toddlers & Tiaras,” Tammy Sue jokes. I mean, she isn’t wrong.

Rightfully so, Gretchen is still distraught with Tamra for her comments about Slade’s parenting after his son passed away, and backing Slade’s ex-wife. Love her or hate, Tamra is always trying to rationalize her word choice, and sometimes she just needs to apologize. This is one of those times.

Heather is dropping truth bombs

If two rehashes weren’t enough, here enter Heather, Jenn, and Shannon. Firstly, Jenn looks like a totally different woman, and it scares me! But newly single Shannon has come with the receipts. It seems she received an apology from Katie, but it included one of her infamous buts.

Katie argued, “Yes, I had an audio recording of gallery shoot day. But no one has heard the recording other than my husband.” Shannon is on a war path and convinced others heard the recording, especially since Alexis tried to blackmail Shannon last season.

Then out of nowhere, a grenade is thrown. Heather, Ms. Fancy Pants herself, is getting her hands dirty.

“On the way to hot pot, I called Alexis.” Stop! My heart literally almost beat out of my chest. Heather alleged that Alexis said, “‘We were at lunch. She played it for me.’ She couldn’t remember if Jenn was there or not.

Jenn seems confused sharing, “but I was never at a lunch where she played it. It must have been the two of them.” These OC waters are getting murkier by the minute. Katie claims she never hung out with Alexis on her own. And Jenn says she never was at a lunch with both of them. Someone is lying. I have my theories.

In her rehash, Katie tells Gina she was on a triple date with Jenn and Alexis, noting, “I should have never overshared with them. I should never have done that.” Bottom line: there is no coming back from audio recording someone.

It’s RHOC party time

It’s Heather’s party, and Shannon will freak out if she wants to. And no amount of caviar bombs can help soothe Shannon’s angry, angry soul. As Katie continued her apology tour, her last stop was Shannon Stormville, but the number one resident was less than impressed. Sparks flew as Shannon erupted. The conversation didn’t get far, but one thing is clear: Shannon is done with Katie. Heather’s beautiful party quickly turns into one of the seven layers of Dante’s Inferno as voices are raised and grilled cheeses are left behind.

As the ladies crowd around, Shannon hurls the biggest insult she can think of toward Katie, telling her she is “worse than Alexis Bellino, worse than Tamra Judge.” That’s going to leave a mark. Through it all, Katie seems unfazed. The golf announcer sat through the verbal assault and didn’t balk once. Perhaps Katie will survive this scandal. But most of the cast don’t believe she can fight her way back after recording Shannon.

Real Housewives of Orange County is available to stream on Peacock. The show streams on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.

TELL US – DO YOU THINK SHANNON SHOULD FORGIVE KATIE?
