Ryan Seacrest has been part of a number of big moments on Wheel of Fortune since he took over hosting duties for the game show. Recently, he almost got knocked over during one such moment on the show. However, it was what the contestant told him next that left him speechless.
Two New Contestants Faced Off Against A Returning Champion On Wheel Of Fortune
Seacrest is known for his work with a number of series, having presented American Idol since its 2002 debut. In 2024, he took on hosting duties for Wheel of Fortune, following the retirement of Pat Sajak.
Through his work on the show, Seacrest has seen contestants through both great wins and disappointing losses. Recently, such an event led to an awkward moment for the host himself.

During a recent episode of the show, the contestants included Ofelia Clark from Pennsylvania and Aaron Fogelson from Illinois. They were playing against Ally Metcalf, who previously won a total of $19,200 on April 9 and returned for the episode for her second game. All throughout the month of April, the night’s previous champion returns until they lose.
Fogelson claimed that he had prepared six hours a day after he got the call that he was on the show. He solved the second toss-up, later solving “The Golden Child” for $6,150.
One Contestant Finished The Night With A Car, Some Cash, & Was Coming Back For The Next Game
After Clark got $4,800 in her bank, Fogelson solved “The Whole Enchilada,” winning a trip to Ireland, with him putting $16,256 in his bank. Clark solved the first triple toss-up, with Fogelson keeping the lead by solving the next two.
Ultimately, Fogelson won the game with $20,256, allowing him to head up to the Bonus Round. He chose “Phrase” for his category and brought his friend, Adam, with him. In addition to the usual discounted letters “R,S,T,L,N, and E,” Fogelson chose “P,G,H, and O.”
Initially, the puzzled looked like “_ON’T _ _ _T _OR _E.” Before the clock even started, Fogelson narrowed it down to “Don’t Something For Me.” However, while Seacrest was talking, he correctly guessed, “Don’t Wait For Me!”
As he won a car, Fogelson gave Seacrest a big hug, nearly knocking him over, right after giving Adam a grateful hug, too. In addition to his car, he had finished the game with a total of $50,096 in cash and prizes. He will return on Monday for his second game.
However, there was something else about the moment that made Seacrest speechless. The prize of a car turned out to be ironic, since he doesn’t have a driver’s license. That said, he shared that he was “working on it.”
