What do we see in the new Orion clip?
The exclusive Orion clip previews a trippy sci-fi movie that sees McCarthy play an intense character very different from the roles he’s known for in movies like Pretty in Pink, St. Elmo’s Fire, Weekend at Bernies, and more. The movie centers around an astronaut who returns home after the rest of his crew has been killed; the twist, however, is that there’s no clear explanation as to how this happened.
The synopsis for the movie reads, “After a catastrophic mission leaves his crew dead and his memory shattered, an astronaut returns to Earth with no idea what went wrong. To uncover the truth, he must rely on a space agency interrogator he isn’t sure he can trust. As his fractured memories begin to return, the two race to piece together what happened, uncovering the terrifying truth about what came back with him—and the threat it now poses to Earth.”
The script for Orion was written by Anne Vithayathil. Sunil Perkash, Van Acker, Elle Army, and Scott Army serve as producers on the project.
