Brian Austin Green Talks Brain & Body Feeling ‘Disconnected’


Brian Austin Green has been open about his health over the past few years, even when it wasn’t clear to himself what was going on. Recently, the star opened up about a very trying time during his health journey. Green also shared a lot of things he had to relearn during his recovery process.

Brian Austin Green Has Been Part Of A Number Of Famous Projects Throughout His Career, From Beverly Hills, 90210 To Dancing With The Stars

As an actor, Green became known to many for playing David Silver on Beverly Hills, 90210 from 1900 to 2000. Early in his career, he was known for playing Brian Cunningham on Knots Landing. He is also known for his work on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and the television adaptation of Anger Management.

In recent years, Green has been making quite a few appearances in reality television. He competed in the fourth season of The Masked Singer, later competing in the fifth season of the Australian version of the series. Green also appeared as a panelist on the spin-off series, The Masked Dancer. He also competed with his girlfriend Sharna Burgess on Season 30 of Dancing with the Stars. More recently, he was also a contestant on Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.

Over the years, Green has also opened up about his battle with a mysterious neurological condition. During a recent podcast appearance, he acknowledged that it was “never completely diagnosed.”

While on the Really Famous podcast, Green noted, “It was, like, stroke-like symptoms. had internal inflammation, so from diet and then, they think, just emotional stress, not handling things well.”

Green Admitted That He Had To Relearn How To Walk & Talk Again During His Recovery Process

This mysterious illness soon took its toll on Green, impacting with quality of life. Among other things, he found himself no longer able to read or write. As Green noted, “Who I was, essentially, was no more. My brain and my body completely disconnected.”

These symptoms reportedly began during Green’s marriage to Megan Fox, with whom he was married to from 2010 to 2020. He shared that things got so severe that it took him a long amount of time to recover. He shared, “It took about four and a half years to recover from.”

Green admitted that there was a lot that he had to return. He shared, “I had to learn how to walk again, to talk again. I had to learn how to sort of do everything again.” Thankfully, Green is enjoying his rejuvenated health with Sharna and his children.
