Tobey Maguire and Jennifer Meyer reached a major agreement nearly a decade after ending their marriage. The former couple agreed to legally dissolve their marital status while turning to a private judge for remaining disputes.
The exes still had a larger settlement to finalize, with the private judge set to address disputes that remained between them.

According to Page Six, Meyer, 49, and Maguire, 51, agreed to use a private judge while completing their divorce settlement. The court documents stated that they had reached an agreement on dissolving their marital status. The former couple separated in October 2016 after nine years of marriage. They share two children, daughter Ruby, 19, and son Otis, 17.
When they announced their split, they said, “After much soul searching and consideration we have made the decision to separate as a couple.” They added, “As devoted parents, our first priority remains raising our children together with enduring love, respect and friendship.” Meyer later discussed their approach to co-parenting during a 2022 appearance on World’s First Podcast. She described maintaining their family connection as difficult but important.
“It was a choice, and it was trusting in, like, the universe has got our back,” Meyer said. “But let me tell you something, the work is a motherf–ker.”Meyer also emphasized her continuing bond with Maguire. “I can’t even explain [it],” she said of their relationship. “He is my brother. I love him to death.”
Meyer moved forward romantically after her split from Maguire. She got engaged to music executive Geoffrey Ogunlesi in 2024 and confirmed their daughter’s birth in a June Father’s Day tribute. She and Maguire continued raising their two older children together.
Maguire also dated other women after their separation. In February, he sparked dating speculation with 21-year-old model and influencer Mishka Silva after they sat together at the 2026 Super Bowl.
In July 2024, Maguire left Michael Rubin’s Fourth of July white party with 23-year-old model Lily Chee. Before that, he dated model Tatiana Dieteman from 2018 to 2021.
Their latest court agreement marked another step toward resolving the divorce nearly ten years after their separation.
